Modular Homes have been gaining in popularity over the past 5-10 years due to their many advantages for owners and builders’ a-like, and Hunter valley Homes have fast become Newcastle & the Hunter Valley’s specialist modular builder. A Modular Home is a home that has been built indoors in a factory or warehouse setting. The finished product is then transported and installed at their intended location where a qualified builder makes all final connections to services and finishing touches.

What are the benefits of our Modular Homes?

    Modular Homes have a much faster building time than traditionally constructed homes. Hunter Valley Homes are usually complete within 20 weeks of start, which is approximately 1/3 of the time required for a standard new home build. Weather, other on site delays and noise restrictions are also avoided through the process of a factory build as much of the work has been completed before installation on site.
  2. Quality control and structural integrity:
    The controlled factory environment that our Modular Homes are built in means that our skilled team are able to utilise quality control and manufacturing tools which are unavailable to on site builders. Both modular and traditionally built homes are required to meet local regulatory standards however due to the requirement of transportation of modular homes, Hunter Valley Homes are constructed with timber frames and 100% bracing to suit high winds for enhanced strength and durability.

The Modular Home building process helps us achieve this with most of the work being done off-site meaning that there is far less waste, saving your build both time and money.

    Modular Homes are substantially cheaper than a traditionally constructed new home due to their much shorter build times and the stable factory build conditions. Not only does this save you money, but it means that you can be in your new home in a fraction of the time it would have taken a standard build to be completed.
  2. Bushfire Building
    Modular homes are a cost effective way to build in a bushfire environment. Hunter Valley Homes are highly experienced in bushfire  rated building and have previously built homes from BAL 12.5, BAL 19, BAL 29, BAL 40 and Flame Zone in conjunction with bushfire consultants. These levels are determined by location, type of vegetation, distance from home to vegetation and the slope of the property.
